Phase C

  • Triethanolamine 99 (TEA99) (Coast Southwest, Ineos Oxide) (Triethanolamine)
  • 0.73

Phase D

  • Sharomix DMP (Coast Southwest, Sharon-Laboratories) (Diazolidinyl urea (and) methylparaben (and) propylparaben (and) propylene glycol)
  • 1.00

Procedure

Phase A – Add Phase A to main vessel with continuous shear mixing. Note: Disperse polymer slowly. Phase B – In a separate vessel, combine phase B in formula order under continuous mixing while heating to 167˚F to 176˚F (75˚C to 80˚C). Once uniform, add phase B to phase A under shear mixing. Phase C – Add phase C to main vessel under continuous mixing. Phase D – When main vessel is less than 104˚F (40˚C), add phase D with continuous mixing. Homogenize if needed to enhance uniformity. Transfer to final container.

Properties

pH—5.5 to 6.0; Viscosity—spindle 06 @ 6.0 rpm = 70,000 to 100,000 cst.
